Electrical Estimator – Chicago area
Our client industry leader in the design, construction and maintenance of electrical and low voltage systems in the Chicago Land Area. We are currently seeking a Electrical Estimator to join our Preconstruction Team.

Job Summary
Estimator is responsible for As an Electrical Estimator, you will prepare, review and present discipline estimates for specific project proposal activities. In this role, you will provide estimating assistance and guidance to projects, develop conceptual estimates and perform cost analysis. You will be responsible for assisting in the development of discipline estimates, developing and updating historical databases, and assisting in the development of department procedures. You will provide direction to others on estimate specific level tasks as required.
Qualification Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years electrical estimating experience.
- Job experience as an estimator or a degree in Construction Management or similar.
- Extensive experience using Accubid Enterprise or similar estimating software.
- Strong ability to conceptually estimate electrical construction projects.
- Extensive working knowledge of electrical construction industry.
- Ability to understand all types of drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code, fire alarm and other systems.
- Strong analytical skills and statistical background.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in use of computers and Microsoft Office.
- Experience in supervision, coaching and staff development.
